12.16.24 Located in Pike and Rose, my boss took my colleagues and I out for our holiday lunch. I had reserved the wine room several months back. Our reservation was for noon on a Monday. I was surprised to see how unbusy it was for lunchtime. We ordered some apps, including the lobster arrancini, truffle fries, and brussels sprouts. Each of them were very tasty however, I would have wanted them to be hotter. They were just room temperature. For my entrée, I got the chicken spring roll bowl. I was expecting actual rolls, but it was just the bowl with chicken thigh, noodle, carrots, cabbage and candied pecans. I was so full from the apps that I mostly just ate the chicken and half of the veggies. I left behind a lot of the noodles. Overall, the food was pretty good, however, considering they weren't very busy I was surprised that the service was slower than I would've expected. The restaurant is located in the same building upstairs with the IPIC theater. A garage is right there as well. Parking can be validated at the host stand.

In town for a conference and City Perch was located close by. We were a party of 7 without reservation. But we were immediately seated in one of their cool wine rooms. The menu has lots of interesting things for dinner. I ended up getting two apps instead of dinner. I opted for the lobster arancini and the braised duck poutine. Everyone ordered something different. I loved the lobster arancini. Big giant chunks of lobster! Then it was on to the poutine. I generally love poutine (how could a southern girl not like gravy!). I was excited to try this dish with braised duck. Sadly, I could only eat about 4 bites as the gravy had way too much salt for my taste. Colleague said the crab cakes were "just ok". But everyone else seemed to really enjoy their orders. I was most impressed with the service. Our server was friendly, helpful and just plain nice. He took good of our big party and made it an enjoyable evening.

This is a great little downtown bar and grill type place close to hotels. Service was very good, drinks kept pouring and the food was all cooked and seasoned to perfect. They have a great varied menu that worked with our diverse crowd. Try it out!

The ambiance was really nice. But the seating was a bit different. We got desserts and we sat at the bar but the food was very slow coming out. But when it came out it was good.

We went here for Mother's Day and were able to still score reservations a couple days before the big day! Went in and were seated without issues, drinks were topped off regularly, food was hot and fresh and flavorful, and my dad's cocktail was delicious! We had some modifications to our meals and they were all followed perfectly! Would definitely come again.

Tried this place for brunch for the first time today. We had heard a lot about it, especially the brunch. I got the brunch burger, which they cooked to a perfect mid-rare and a nice runny fried egg. The home fries were also nice and crispy with fresh scallions. Hubby had the shoirt rib hash, which was overall good but had a large piece of fat/gristle. The mimosas were well made - not overly OJ'd! Our server cane by frequently to check on us, so we always had a fun glass!

Located in Pike & Rose next to the movie theatre. You can park at the attached garage for 2 hours free. I've been here a few times, mostly for happy hours. Even with a large group at a table, I was able to open a tab at the bar and grab some food and drink specials with no issues, service was great. Can't comment too much on the food, but everything looked good. The drinks were good and had a decent amount on happy hour.

I have to say that I really loved the vibe/atmosphere of City Perch. It's like a combination of a bar (as its name would suggest) a restaurant, and a lounge (with the small sofas distributed around the place). We stopped by for a follow up to happy hour that was held in the area, and we were pleased with our food, adult beverages, and service. For our dining pleasure, we went with a flatbread pizza, mussels, and duck poutine. *The latter is something that I've never had. Well . . . I've never had poutine with duck, but it works.* As one might tell, we enjoyed everything . . . especially the duck poutine. For the area, I thought the prices of our entrees, which were huge portions, and cocktails were pretty standard. Actually, because of the amount of food in a serving, the prices might have been better than other spots nearby. While the food and beverages were great, I was really impressed by the racial and ethnic diversity of the restaurant's clientele . All in all, City Perch Kitchen + Bar has been added to my Bethesda go-to list.

My friend and I came here for ladies' night ($3 cocktails on Tuesdays). Ladies' night is at the bar and lounge. Happy hour is Mon-Fri from 4-6pm. We ordered the Norma Jeane, Margarita, Cosmo and Brussels sprouts. All the drinks were good. We ordered the Brussels sprouts at the same time as the person next to us but they got their food first. We had to ask about our food and it came out 10 min later. Brussels sprouts were good, but weren't really crispy. When I asked to sit at the lounge, the hostess got confused and thought I meant the waiting area/seating right before the bar where they can't serve you. I ended up sitting at the bar because of this. There are parking garages and street parking, with a parking garage connected where you can the elevator into the building. The parking garage allows two free hours, but you can validate your ticket with the front host for a total of three free hours. I would come here again for their ladies' night deals. Overall, I would rate it a 3.75/5, rounding it up to a 4/5.
